Christie Farrell, WHNP-BC
Nurse PractitionerIn the fall of 2011, Christie Farrell, W.H.N.P.-B.C. joined Virginia Women’s Center as a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner.
Christie graduated from Wake Forest University where she studied health and exercise science as well as dance. Christie earned her master’s degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University. She began her career working as a registered nurse on the mother-infant unit at VCU Health System. Additionally, she worked as a clinical instructor at the VCU School of Nursing where she taught nursing and medical students. Christie was no stranger to Virginia Women’s Center and worked as needed for several years before joining the practice as a nurse practitioner. Christie is involved in the Virginia Council for Nurse Practitioners.
Christie sees patients for well-woman exams, gynecologic problems and urologic education. She enjoys caring for women throughout the spectrum of life and has a special interest in helping young adolescent women through their first gynecologic exam. In addition,
In her spare time, Christie volunteers at Crossover Clinic. She stays active by running, attending zumba classes and walking her boxer, Lexi. Christie also enjoys gardening, cheering on her favorite football and basketball teams, and spending time with her husband, Peter.
