“Obstetric and gynecologic care is deeply personal. It is an honor and a privilege to be a trusted resource for my patients and help them navigate this aspect of their lives.” ~Dr. Nikki Sood O’Neill

You could say that being a physician is in Dr. O’Neill’s DNA. Her mother and sister are OB/GYNs, and her father is a physician. Shortly before she was born, Dr. O’Neill’s parents immigrated from India to the states. “I remember how hard they worked to achieve their certifications in the US and how much they loved their jobs — even on the really hard days. Their love for helping others is what initially sparked my interest in medicine. But it wasn’t until my OB/GYN rotation in my third year of medical school that I discovered my passion for women’s healthcare,” Dr. Nikki O’Neill.

As an OB/GYN, Dr. O’Neill knows that the relationship she builds with each patient is unique. She is passionate about both gynecologic and obstetric care and strives to tailor care plans for each patient’s unique health needs. Dr. O’Neill wants her patients to feel educated, empowered, and confident that they are making the right — and best — decision about their health.

Dr. O’Neill has a special interest in contraception counseling and management, high and low-risk pregnancy care, and nutrition and wellness through all walks of life. She enjoys minimally invasive surgery, including hysteroscopic, robotic, laparoscopic, and vaginal procedures.

In her free time, Dr. O’Neill enjoys the great variety of restaurants around Richmond and spends as much time outdoors as possible by taking advantage of the river, trails, and the nearby mountains and beaches with her husband.
