It is with profound sadness that we share the news that Dr. Herbert A Claiborne passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020. Dr. Claiborne was one of the founding physicians of the obstetrics and gynecology practice that eventually evolved into Virginia Women’s Center. His exceptional leadership inspired our foundation of compassionate care and the belief that the patient always comes first. Dr. Claiborne cared deeply about thousands of women during his career, many of whom are VWC patients today.
We are grateful for Dr. Claiborne’s years of service. And, to his family for sharing him with us, and his patients for so many years.
