Cathleen Ford Conner is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner. She earned a bachelor’s in nursing from the College of New Rochelle. She earned a master’s degree as a women’s health nurse practitioner and a degree as a family nurse practitioner from the Medical College of Virginia. While at MCV, she was a nurse practitioner in the obstetrics department and worked with post-partum patients. She also worked in the gynecology clinic and what was then the OB/GYN emergency room. She joined Virginia Women’s Center in 1995.

Cathy enjoys seeing a variety of patients, from teenagers to women that are post-menopausal. She appreciates the challenges that go along with counseling these women in areas that are of concern to them. These include contraception, nutritional counseling and diabetes counseling (especially for obstetrics patients). In addition, Cathy offers BRAC and COLARIS Testing to determine whether an individual has certain hereditary gene mutations that would increase her risk of having certain cancers.

Balance is an important aspect of life for Cathy. She is an avid walker and also enjoys sewing, gardening, and reading. Cathy also appreciates that her schedule allows plenty of time to spend with her daughter.
