Whitney Archie-Patrick is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who provides compassionate, patient-centered care to women of all ages. Her journey into healthcare began in high school while studying dentistry at Richmond Technical Center—but it was her mother’s recovery from severe burns that inspired her to pursue nursing. Seeing the incredible care her mother received from her doctors and nurses during such a difficult time left a lasting impression and sparked Whitney’s passion for helping others heal.

After becoming a nurse in 2010—just after the birth of her son—Whitney continued her education and earned her master’s degree as a nurse practitioner in 2018. She began her NP career at Planned Parenthood in Richmond, caring for women across diverse backgrounds. Later, she accepted an OB/GYN position at UVA, where she discovered her love for caring for pregnant patients—an experience she describes as one of the best decisions she has ever made.

Whitney believes that healthcare works best when patients feel seen, heard, and respected. She’s passionate about empowering women through education—helping them understand their bodies, make informed decisions, and feel confident advocating for their own health. Her approachable, down-to-earth style creates a safe space where patients can truly be themselves.

Outside of work, Whitney finds joy in music—she loves to sing and sees it as a creative outlet that brings balance to her busy life. A proud single mom, she enjoys spending time with her 15-year-old son, tackling DIY projects around the house, shopping, and trying new restaurants (she admits she’s a bit of a foodie!).

Whitney hopes her patients leave each visit not only feeling cared for but looking forward to coming back—knowing they have a true partner in their health journey.
