“Medicine is most meaningful to me when I’m listening to people’s stories. I have always been drawn to reproductive health because it is a pivotal but often vulnerable part of health care. I know how important and life-changing it can be to have a provider and an environment where you feel safe and comfortable talking about often stigmatized or silenced issues.”  ~Dr. Meghana Kaloji

As an OB/GYN, Dr. Kaloji wants to serve as a guide, mentor, and partner in her patients’ health. She wants her patients to feel heard, validated, and centered. Her goal is to keep their stories and experiences at the center of their interactions while adding her medical knowledge and expertise to help them meet their health goals. Dr. Kaloji enjoys getting to know her patients through the many stages of their lives and especially helping those who might view GYN care as nerve-wracking or scary by turning it into a positive experience.

Before medical school, Dr. Kaloji completed a Masters in Public Health at the University of Virginia, focusing on health inequities, evidence-based health policy, and environmental health. The knowledge she gained has been invaluable to her clinical practice as she strives to understand her patients through their medical history and what they share about their circumstances, community and background “I recognize the medical system can be challenging or traumatizing for some of our patients, and I hope to foster an environment where we validate and discuss these concerns openly,”

In her free time, Dr. Kaloji enjoys spending time with her husband (also a physician) and their cat Harlan. She’s a Peloton enthusiast, enjoys going for walks outdoors, and is an avid reader of all genres of books.
