Kristen Bruce, PA-C, has always known she wanted to work in medicine. What ultimately drew her to women’s health was the opportunity to give women a voice—especially those who have been quietly “dealing with” symptoms they may not realize are common, treatable, and nothing to be embarrassed about. She is passionate about educating and empowering patients, so they feel confident advocating for themselves and truly understand how their bodies work.

Her clinical interests include caring for women with pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, conditions that can significantly impact a woman’s quality of life. Kristen has worked with many patients who felt limited in their daily activities or hesitant to leave home because of these concerns, and she finds deep fulfillment in creating personalized treatment plans that help women regain comfort, confidence, and independence. One of the most rewarding parts of her work is helping normalize conversations around topics often considered taboo—and seeing women support one another once they realize they’re not alone.

Kristen strives to ensure every patient feels heard, supported, and comfortable returning for care, no matter the concern. She is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care, working collaboratively with other members of the VWC care team, and continually learning in the ever-evolving field of women’s health.

Originally from the Richmond area, Kristen is thrilled to be back home. Outside of the office, she enjoys baking, exploring new coffee shops (and recreating her favorite drinks at home), listening to podcasts like Crime Junkie and Delusional Diaries, and trying new restaurants and cuisines with her husband. She also has a creative side—she loves interior design and furniture flipping—and admits to a soft spot for reality TV. You’ll often find her at local festivals or the RVA Big Market, soaking up all that Richmond has to offer.
