Jade Shiver, PA-C, brings a compassionate and thoughtful approach to women’s health, grounded in both clinical expertise and a desire for meaningful human connection. 

Jade’s journey into medicine began during her undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she interned at GoochlandCares, a free clinic serving underserved populations. She had the opportunity to learn from physicians across various specialties and developed a strong passion for women’s health. Early in her career, she helped stock clinic bathrooms with barrier contraceptives and educational materials for teens and young adults—an experience that sparked her ongoing interest in education, prevention, and empowerment. 

During Physician Assistant school at Randolph-Macon College, Jade completed a clinical rotation at Virginia Women’s Center and realized she wanted to build her career there, surrounded by a collaborative, patient-focused team. Her goal is for every patient to feel safe, comfortable, and truly heard. She believes that each individual has a unique story and strives to ensure patients leave their visits feeling understood, supported, and empowered. Her clinical interests include hormonal changes throughout life, female anatomy education for young women, and helping patients navigate contraception options with clarity and confidence. Jade is dedicated to supporting patients through every stage of life. 

Inspired by a family member’s autism diagnosis and a desire to foster safe, inclusive spaces for connection, she volunteers with the Autism Society of Central Virginia. 

Baking is her favorite way to unwind, and she jokes that if she hadn’t pursued women’s health, she would have opened a bakery. Besides baking, Jade enjoys reading and spending time with her fiancé and their two cats. She also loves exploring Richmond’s vibrant food scene, with favorite local spots including Africanne on Main, Pho Luca’s, and Lillie Pearl.
